that sounds a bit weird. were the two of you in the same NATted network -
e.g. you get given IP addresses in the 192.168 or 10.0 ranges that aren't
really on the internet, and to the outside you look like the same address
- and something in the system is using the address as a key? i know this
seems a bit unlikely, but...

:) it might be nice to collect ideas for a new version, problems with the
old one, on a page on the wiki...
