Hi All,

Firstly - re: meeting on April 9th - erm, I think we bradford folks
feel a little as though we don't have a great deal to offer to a
meeting just at the moment - although we do have our karaoke and
cocktails fundraiser on the 9th (but most of the collective are already booked
to be elsewhere) if people wanted to come up we could
probably manage some time to chat about the dlp earlier in the day...

I hope your meeting goes well today...

Thanks for the UNESCO thesaurus link, I think some of the problems of
generality are likely to still exist whichever "off the shelf" type of system
we choose... Consequently Douglas' suggestion the other day about using a user
created system (whereby hoping that we'll come to some sort of a consensus
about terms sounds like a least bad option - it gives us the flexibility to
change and amend the dlp but yet gives some coherence through the different
nodes collections... I guess we might want to start with some sort of list
from which we could set up our basic catagories.... Definitely need to be able
to add more than one keyword to each record as well...

I agree with the publisher linkages... yes, that makes senses too...

I do tend to agree on the vast majority of what you've said... and yes, the
idea of a group which meets more frequently locally and then periodically meets
nationally makes organisational sense... I have to confess that the majority of
us Bradford folks seem to manage our meetings on thursday evenings, but finding
time on weekends tends to be more tricky...

If we meet on the 9th, I'm afraid the bradford attendance will be low (possibly
just me and 1 or 2 others) - but despite agreeing at the last collective
meeting that we should probably put the meeting off until after mayday, I think
I've come 'round to meeting before then.... erm, so is a meeting on the 9th
suitable - and is Bradford OK as a venue? (I know this seems cheeky)... let me
know what you think... I'm away for most of the rest of this week - so I may
take a while to reply...

Ellie
