This is a quick note to highlight three opportunities that you might be
interested in. Be warned, there are rather tight deadlines!

The Olympic Delivery Authority is commissioning artwork for bridges and
underpasses in the Olympic Park; the Greater London Authority is calling for
organisations to be part of September's Open Rehearsal scheme; and a new
cultural leadership course is on offer in the Thames Gateway.  

The plan for the next newsletter is to focus on: 

*	Mayor Boris Johnson's developing vision for culture  

*	How culture can help to create thriving neighbourhoods, particularly
within the massive Thames Gateway regeneration programme

Artwork for the Olympic Park 
The Olympic Delivery Authority is inviting expressions of interest from
artists who want to create artwork for bridges and underpasses around the
Olympic Park. The bridges will remain after 2012. The maximum fee is
£24,000; the deadline for expressions of interest is 5pm on 1 August.

Final call for Open Rehearsal
This annual scheme invites all London's cultural venues to open their doors
and to engage new audiences. This year it takes place over 26 to 28
September, to coincide with the launch of the Cultural Olympiad. There will
be a high profile pan-London marketing and press strategy. Contact the GLA
before Thursday 24 July.

Leading across boundaries
The Cultural Leadership Programme is offering 25 places on this new course
aimed at leaders within the cultural and creative sectors and who work in or
are based in the Thames Gateway. The course starts in mid-September.
