OLGA GORIUNOVA

Art Platforms. Organizational Aesthetics and Participatory Web
The art platform is a genre of the (self) organization of art and culture
in new media, a tool allowing for a discussion of participation, creativity
and art, and a germ proliferating into a number of techno-cultural settings
as an organizational principle of a new type. In this lecture Olga
Goriunova will discuss the aesthetics of art platforms and address
creativity collaboration, organization, and participation in ways that aim
to go beyond both the liberal language of the "creative industries" and the
Autonomist Marxist critique of "complete subsumption". The talk will engage
with the liveliness and humour core to these technological and cultural
experiments through a number of examples.

OLGA GORIUNOVA is currently a Maternity Cover Lecturer in Interactive Media
at the Center for Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths College. She has been active
in the field of new media art and software art in particular, organizing a
series of festivals and administrating a software art repository Runme.org.
