Wet Sounds reviews from July's tour are on the website http://www.newtoy.org/wetsounds.html
The Guardian: “Astonishingly immediate, inescapable, and faintly perplexing.”
WIre: '...succeeds
in truly making the audience active participants - not only aware of
the environmental sound but eagerly anticipating and enjoying it.'
'Wet
Sounds managed to bring a niche art form to a public space frequented
by people usually ignorant or uninterested in that niche and display it
in such a fashion so as to make them interested...'
'Exhibitions dont get much more successful than that.'
Metro Manchester : “Drifting around on the bottom of Levenshulme pool made a fairly magical experience. It's insane, and we love it..
a-n Magazine: “The
underwater sounds I was perceiving were paradoxically extended, as if
they were made of elastic and invisible pulls were stretching them,
making them vibrate even more intensely as bodies passed in and out of
them.”

'...it
doesnt guarantee salvation, its not sufficient and its not necessary
salvation, but if it can be collaborated with and used in an
intelligent way, it can be of immense help to people. The sense that in
spite of everything, which I suppose is the ultimate mystical
conviction, in spite of pain, in spite of death, in spite of horror,
the universe is in some mysterious way, all right, capital A capital R.'
-Aldous Huxley in an interview - probably the most positive thing you could ever hear
