Hello

East London Street Training is Back!

next training session
2pm Monday 10th August
Meet outside Liverpool Street Station, on Bishopsgate
it's free, booking is essential email lottie at malinky.org

New Street Training teams now meet regularly in Curitiba Brazil and in
Manchester. And we've been training with sexy girls in Rio,
psychogeographers in Manchester, and urban youth in Camberwell so we have
loads of new Street Training techniques to share with you! (check the
website)www.streettraining.org .

Street Training is to creatively shape the city streets with our bodies and
> minds.

> The street training team will guide you through the urban terrain and
> demonstrate technique for creative/antisocial behaviour. Each session takes
> just over 2hrs, explores the edge of the City of London, crosses Brick Lane
> and ends in a secret-wildlife garden next to Spitalfields City Farm. During
> the session you may learn such things as:
>
> Guerrilla gardening
> urban climbing
> using the acoustics of city architecture
> hanging from ledges
> trespassing
> entering secret derelict corners
> chalking
> psychogeographising
> getting into the bushes
> hiding and finding things
> eating bananas

   doing nothing
   cartwheels

> fake fights
> wandering
> jumping over, building up, pissing, nurturing or sidestepping barriers
> physical social and psychological.

> *but mostly* you will be supported in doing your own creative/antisocial
> behaviour.

Be guided by the Street Training Manual and develop your own ways of
negotiating Paths of Joy and Paths of Safety through the city.
