just seen this on art news, in case you didn't see it...

Kensington and Chelsea Arts Service would like to invite artists to  
submit proposals for temporary installations in shop fronts and  
windows in the North of the Borough, using light as a primary medium.   
The artworks will form part of a walking ‘trail’ between Notting Hill  
Gate and the Westway flyover, along the Portobello Road area, as part  
of our annual 'Across the Street, Around the World Festival'.

The festival runs between September and December and celebrates  
cultural heritage and community in the Borough.

Artwork should be suitable for display in shop windows, visible from  
the street, and take cultural heritage and community as a central  
theme.  A fee of £500 is available to help towards materials and  
expenses for each selected artist.

Deadline for submissions is Monday 29th June.
