My advice is don't worry about retro-fitting. Our target audience is
unlikely to be using dinosaur browsers...

Hi nmx team,

In preparation for the hack session on the 16th - 20th, I've been
looking into the obvious issues we need to resolve.

Browser compatibility was one of them.

good news: the map and the layout work in Internet Explorer 7 - it's
just usability issues we still need to solve there.

bad news: it doesn't work in Internet Explorer 6, which still
constitutes about 37% of the browser market.

http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

Firefox is still climbing up the rankings fast, but 37% is a lot of
people to ignore.

However, it will be steadily declining going forwards, as more and more
people move to IE 7 (19.7% currently) or firefox (34%).

It might well take a day of our time to make things work in IE6, and
that investment will diminish over time.

Is it worth it?

We could invest our time in feature changes and developments that could
pay off more in the future.

Thoughts anyone?

Cheers,

Saul.
