are lots of opportunities to speak with The People this summer:

- Tate Modern 'Think-Tank', Sunday 5th July, 11am-2pm: What does the
  Tate of the Future look like? The People Speak invite Southwark and
  Lambeth residents to propose, visualise and discuss their ideas about
  what the new oil-tank extensions to Tate Modern should do.

- Southwark Park, 'The Event', 11th July, 1pm-10pm: Talkaoke will be
  headlining this fantastic free South London festie, supported by
  Alexander O'Neal, The Blockheads, The Bachelors and others ;)

- 'Sutton Speaks', at the 'Take Part, Take Pride' festival, 12th July,
  12pm. The People Speak ask Sutton residents what they would like to do
  with 2000 quid of the council's cash! Got some ideas for improving the
  area? send 'em in, and turn up on the day to vote!

- Latitude Festival, Suffolk: 16th July, all day: Talkaoke lands for a
  day of refined and raucous repartee at the festival's literary arena.

- Shoreditch Festival, 19th July: The People Speak will be hosting
  events at the amphitheatre in Shoreditch Park all day, including a
  'Who Wants to Be' event, discussing local issues and ideas for what to
